Internationally Recognized Secondary School Graduation Diploma
All Phoenix Magnet Academy students who complete Grade 12 will qualify for a B.C. Dogwood Diploma. The B.C. Dogwood Diploma is a graduation credential awarded to students who complete the provincial graduation requirements in British Columbia, Canada.

The Dogwood Diploma is widely recognized by post-secondary institutions in Canada and globally. It serves as an excellent qualification for admission to universities, colleges, and other educational institutions, opening up opportunities for further education and career advancement.
BESPOKE EDUCATION
The Dogwood Diploma allows students to choose elective courses based on their interests and future educational or career goals. This flexibility means that PMA students are able to explore different subjects and customize their course selections to suit their individual goals.
ACADEMIC AND PERSONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS
The Dogwood Diploma acknowledges students’ achievements beyond academics, including participation in extracurricular activities, community service, and work experience. These accomplishments are recorded on the student’s transcript.
Requirements
In order to meet BC graduation requirements and be awarded a British Columbia Certificate of Graduation (Dogwood Diploma), students must earn a minimum of 80 credits and write provincial assessments of numeracy and literacy. The 80 credits include 52 credits for required courses (including 8 credits of Career Education courses) and a minimum of 28 elective credits.
